Charmed

March 20, 2010

Little trinkets and beads jingling around as you move. Colours and shapes flashing about. I love everything about charms.

Charm jewelery has been in vogue for thousands of years when the Egyptians wore charms to serve as talismans to ward off evil spirits.

The concept of charm jewelery is rather interesting.

Bracelets or necklaces are made and passed down from generation to generation, every owner adding their own charm – something which symbolises one’s life, derived form a memory or an experience unique. Therefore these quaint pieces of jewelery retain their attraction because of the sentimental attachment.

They can be a personalised storyboard of one’s life, sealed forever.

Of course everyone doesn’t have a fashionable grandmom in order to inherit. So just make your own, or even easier – buy one. One can experiment with different charms, designs and themes. It all depends on one’s mood. And they look absolutely smashing, matched up with any outfit.

I can’t wait to add one more piece to my collection! Looking for something extraordinary. Any ideas?

Thank God, my girlfriend doesn’t follow your blog! She loves these things. And as expected, I hate them! 😐
