Dousing The Flames

October 27, 2010

Years have been sacrificed preparing, to conquer this last hurdle which keeps her from success.

Capabilities, knowledge, stamina and willpower, all have been tried and tested to prove her worthy of the title.

So why does this  fear of failure consume her?

It burns like an eternal flame inside her core, illuminating past inefficiencies and aberrations. Her confidence is lost, intensifying her growing insecurity. Apprehension of what is to come churned up with fatigue and stress has cauterized her creativity. This choking conflagration has halted all action.

Unable to comprehend, she feels lost. All her resolutions dissolved into nothingness.

Amongst all the smoke, a weak ray of light fighting to be seen, beckons her to rise. Holding on to it she begins to recall past glories. Hope shows her the promising future dispelling all doubts. Courage surges through her, re-gifting her fortitude and vision.

Dousing the flames of fear with a bout of confidence, she feels the strength of lost resolutions returning back where they belonged. A lesson is learnt, her fear is conquered. Just like  a phoenix rising from the ashes of his own death, she feels reborn.

Bursting with renewed energy, she marches on to win the battle of her life.

A friend suffering from nerves regarding the upcoming exams needed a boost. This post is dedicated to her. You are going to do wonders K, all the very best :D!

      Good for you ;)!

For some when they have dreamt of being something all their lives, only that seems consequential. If that means it will be achievable by clearing a stupid exam, and if this gives them all the satisfaction and happiness, so be it.

Thanks for such a prompt comment, and the wishes :D!
