Lighten Up!

November 5, 2010

It is that time of the year when we Indians celebrate the triumph of good over evil. And so it’s time to dispel the darkness, and bring home the beautiful light of happiness and prosperity.

Diwali is here, beckoning us all to do away with the burden of negativity, so as to remove the blindfold that keeps us from witnessing the wonderful pleasures of life.

"Diwali Lights"

So, get rid of that gloom, scrub your house clean, light a diya, pray to Goddess Laxmi for her blessings, wear brand new clothes, eat truckloads of sweets, meet up with your friends and relations, learn the art of sharing, and most importantly spread love and happiness to one and all.

Also, lets start this tradition of gifting in whichever way we can, a part of our Diwali to someone less fortunate. A small contribution can do wonders in paving the way for a harmonious future for all.

To all my readers, have a safe and happy Diwali and an extremely prosperous New Year.
